Most Common Neck Pains...

My Safe and Simple Escape

Before talking about neck pains let's remember its anatomNecky. As you know, the neck is located between the head and the shoulders. Because of its location and range of motion, it is often left unprotected and subject to injury.

Neck pains may result from different causes - between injury and inflammatory disease:
  • injury (damage to the muscles, tendons, and/or ligaments);
  • herniated cervical disk;
  • arthritis (i.e., osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis);
  • congenital abnormalities of the vertebrae and bones;
  • tumors.

Most common neck problems

There are many conditions that may cause your neck pains. That’s why it’s best to consult your doctor before taking some treatments.

Whiplash is a range of neck injuries caused by a sudden distortion of the neck. It may happen anywhere:
  • during car accidents or rides at an amusement park;
  • falls from bicycles or horses;
  • impulsive stretching of the spine during golfing or disk throwing;
  • sports injuries such as skiing accidents; and
  • what not.
Torticollis (Wryneck), twisting of the neck that causes the head to rotate and tilt at an odd angle. It may be caused by:
  • irritation to cervical nerves, which results in spasm of the neck muscles;
  • vigorous movement or injury sleeping in an awkward position;
  • anxiety;
  • neck muscle injury at birth;
  • burn injury; and
  • any injury that causes heavy scarring and skin shrinkage
Besides Torticollis may also be a secondary condition resulting from:
  • slipped facette (two small joints on the side of the spine);
  • herniated disc; or
  • viral or bacterial infection.

What are the symptoms of torticollis?

Each of you experience symptoms differently. They may include:
  • neck muscle pain or pain down the spine;
  • inability to turn the head, usually holding it twisted to one side;
  • spasm of the neck muscles; or
  • awkward position of the chin during sleep.
The symptoms of torticollis may resemble other conditions and medical problems. That's why consulting your physician for a diagnosis is a MUST.

Improper functioning of your circulatory system. The system is vitally important for your wellbeing as it…
  • delivers oxygen and nutrients to all your cells;
  • removes carbon dioxide and waste products;
  • maintains optimum pH, and the mobility of the elements, proteins and cells of the immune system.
Statistics shows that myocardial infarction and stroke, the two leading causes of death, may directly result from a slow gradual damage of an arterial system.

It depends…

I used to have neck pains and I still do, during a day,as well, when…
  • I have to work long hours before the computer;
  • When I drive a car and open the window;
  • When my head “gets stuck” quite unexpectedly.
As usual, I didn’t go to doctor and tried different ointments and mixtures; had it massaged. Unfortunately, nothing worked until one day my friend let me try a magnetic neck support, the best  neck pain relief as I felt much better in about 15 minute’s time.

Nightly neck ache

Another problem was aching in the lower part of my head. I understood it had something to do with my pillow and wrong alignment during the night sleep.

Expets say  the right  pain pillow should support your neck, a vitally important organ of our body. It keeps up the weight of your head and protects the nerves carrying sensory and motor information from the brain down to the rest of the body. I believed the author and bought the best one.

As soon as I started sleeping on it, my neck pains disappeared. I consider the foam pillow with a special contour my Savior. In fact, the easiest relief I could ever think.
